Description

Site work and new construction of a laboratory facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the construction of a 26,000-square-foot, one-story above grade laboratory facility.

National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC (NTESS) managing Sandia National Laboratories, has the need for a General Construction Subcontractor to build a new facility with special systems, on a Firm-Fixed Price basis. The Subcontractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to construct an approximately 26,000 gross square foot single-story building. The building shall include offices, specialty emergency communications rooms, conference rooms, restrooms and shower facilities, kitchen/break room and equipment rooms for mechanical, electrical, and communications infrastructure. Additionally, the building shall include a generator and other special systems to ensure independence during a utility power outage. The new building shall meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold requirements, meet International Building Codes 2015, be in accordance with NTESS' design guide, and meet NTESS construction specifications and/or any special specifications for this construction project, which will be distributed with the Request for Quotation (RFQ), if released.
