Site work for a water / sewer project in Corvallis, Oregon. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project will replace roughly 2 miles of the Rock Creek water transmission main which carries drinking water from the Rock Creek Water Treatment Plant into Corvallis. The current main is a 20- inch cast iron pipe which has reached the end of its useful life. It will be replaced with a 24- inch pipe, either restrained ductile iron or High Density Polyethylene, and will provide capacity for a greater amount of finished water to come from the Rock Creek plant in the event of a shutdown of the Taylor Water Treatment Plant or a water quality event in the Willamette River. In addition, given the critical importance of this transmission main, the new pipe will be designed to be seismically resilient. Project is included in the City of Corvallis' FY 2023-2027 CIP. As of November 4, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. A timeline for construction has not been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
