The purpose of this contract is to provide multidisciplinary engineering, planning, and design services to King County Metro Transit (Metro) for the upcoming RapidRide 1033 which will serve Renton, Kent and Auburn. The Consultant plan, develop, design, and produce bidding documents for roadway/signal/sidewalk improvements, transit passenger facilities, and Metro communication infrastructure, as well as any other needed components (e.g. topographic survey) for the RapidRide 1033. Components of tasks associated with gaining support, concurrence, agreement, or approval for any of the civil infrastructure improvements shall be the responsibility of the Consultant. These tasks may include: public outreach, environmental review/documentation, permitting assistance, private license agreements, right-of-way negotiations and inter-jurisdictional negotiations. Specific tasks will be led by individual County task leads and the level of Consultant involvement may vary. The contract is anticipated to be phased as follows and as detailed below in the Scope of Work: Phase 1: Planning, Alternatives Analysis, Environmental Documentation and 10% Predesign Phase 2: Final Design, Right-of-Way (ROW), Permitting and Bidding Services Phase 3: Services During Construction This Scope of Work reflects the County's current understanding of the work, however it may be updated during negotiations.
