Demolition, site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Brick, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The proposed work consists of but is not limited to; The rehabilitation of nine (9) pump stations owned and operated by the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority. Work shall include the conversion of 6 dry well/wet well pump stations to submersible stations, replacement of 1 ejector pump station with new pre-packaged pump station, and rehabilitation of 2 submersible stations. Other various modifications include raising mechanical and electrical components above the flood plain, demolition of existing buildings, and all else necessary to complete the scope of work required by the Contract Documents. Bids must be submitted on forms prepared by Brick Utilities and the Consulting Engineer. All bids must be enclosed in sealed, specially addressed envelope bearing on the outside the name and address of the bidder and work bid upon. All envelopes should be sent to the attention of the Engineering Department. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid or a maximum of $20,000.00; such certification to be without condition or qualification, and the check made payable to The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority. Each bid must also be accompanied by an agreement to become surety, properly executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and which agreement shall be attached to the proposal. All bidders shall be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-6.2, requiring each bidder and each subcontractor to formulate and submit to the proper authorized representative of the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development an affirmative action program of equal opportunity which guarantees minorities employment in all employment categories. If a bidder is a corporation or a partnership, the bidder, in conformance with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, shall submit with his bid a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders in the corporation or partnership who own 10% or more of its stock, of any class or of all individual partners in the partnership who own a 10% or greater interest therein, as the case may be. If one or more such stockholder or partner is itself a corporation or partnership, the stockholders holding 10% or more of that corporation's stock, or the individual partners owning 10% or greater interest in that partnership, as the case may be, shall also be listed. The disclosure shall be continued until names and addresses of every noncorporate stockholder, and individual partner, exceeding the 10% ownership criteria established in this act, has been listed. This contract or subcontract is expected to be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust nor any of their departments, agencies or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract. This contract or subcontract is subject to the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9 and 10. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et. seq. for the participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDs). The Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to comply with the SED Utilization Plan developed by Brick Utilities for fulfilling SED requirements. The Project shall conform to the Local Public Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. The bid receipt date will be at least thirty (30) days after the advertisement date; addenda notices will be provided no less than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, prior to the bid receipt deadline. Brick Utilities reserves the right to waive any minor informalities or to reject any and all bids in accordance with applicable laws.
