This project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and supervision for the construction and completion of approximately 1,800 linear feet of roadway improvements, with associated storm, wastewater, water, reuse water, utility undergrounding, street lighting, signing, striping, and landscaping as shown on the construction plans The project Final Completion date shall be October 29, 2021, 370 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. In order to be eligible for award of City of Newberg construction contracts, bidders (prime contractors) must submit a City of Newberg Contractor's Prequalification Application according to ORS 279C.430(1) at least ten calendar days prior to the bid opening date. The prime contractor for this project must be prequalified for classifications of work in earthwork, drainage, asphalt paving and oiling, aggregate base, temporary traffic control, concrete flatwork, utilities (storm/wastewater/water), and permanent signing along with any sub-contractors performing these work items. The City will reject bids from bidders who are not prequalified with the City for the classifications of work indicated. By signing the bid, the bidder agrees to comply with those provisions which state that workers on public works projects are to be paid not less than the current prevailing rate of wage for Region 3 (see BOLI website a)kers' Compensation and Unemployment Insurance in accordance with ORS 656.001 through 656.794.No bid for a construction contract shall be considered unless the bidder is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701.035 to 701.055. Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed form completely filled out and signed, in a sealed envelope, clearly marked that it is a bid, and have the bidder's name, the project title and bid opening date on the outside of the envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified, or cashier's, check or bid bond payable to City of Newberg, Oregon, in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid submitted.
