Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Macungie, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Macungie Borough will receive sealed bids online, for the full depth repair of existing asphalt on West Chestnut Street as indicated on drawings by Barry Isett & Associates, Engineer. Prevailing wage rates and Related Acts apply to this Project. Saw cut asphalt and remove asphalt pavement and stone base to the sub-grade depth. Install compacted crushed stone, asphalt base course, tack coat, and a wearing course. Contractor shall install a tapered notch joint where existing pavement transitions to new pavement. Contractor shall maintain existing curb reveal with the exception of the driveway aprons. Depressed curb at driveway aprons shall have a curb reveal of not more than 1". Immediately following the due date and time, all bids received through online will be opened online at the Engineer's office and referred to the Owner for final award. An abstract of the Bids will be available to bidders on PennBid at the date and time that bids are due, as indicated above. Bids must include a bid bond, with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount, all posted through the online. A Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Questions may be submitted through electronically "Questions" tab on or before 5:00 p.m. on March 20, 2019. Responses will be provided via PennBid to all registered plan holders. All bidding documents are available online at no cost. The Borough of Macungie reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions of to waive any informalities in bidding and to withhold award for a period of sixty (60) days.
