Site work for a water / sewer project in Macungie, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work will include the installation of cured-in-place pipe liners for main line sanitary sewers from manhole to manhole. All pipe lining rehabilitation shall be made by a resin-impregnated cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner. The work shall include but not be limited to the following Sanitary sewer main line cleaning Pre and post TV inspection of the main lines Cut out protruding laterals, where directed Preparation and installation of the cured-in-place mainline liner Service lateral reinstatements Notification of property owners Lateral cleanout installation Lateral liner installation The Contractor shall supply all designated materials, labor, equipment, machinery, apparatus, tools, fuel and power and perform all operations necessary to install, equip, adjust, and put into satisfactory operation the work specified or shown on the Drawings. The Contractor shall connect the various items or sections of Work so as to form a complete and properly operating whole. Any labor, equipment or apparatus not specifically mentioned herein, or shown on the Drawings which may be necessary for the proper completion of the entire Work, or of the individual items thereof within the intent of these Specifications and Drawings, shall be furnished by the Contractor without additional compensation by the Owner. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. A Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing Wage Rates shall apply. Immediately following the due date and time, all bids received through PennBid will be opened online at the Engineer's Office and referred to the Borough of Macungie for final award. An abstract of the bids received will be available to bidders on PennBid following the date and time that bids are due as indicated above. Questions may be submitted through PennBid's "Messages/Public Q&A" tab on or before 3:00 PM on July 25, 2025. Responses will be provided via PennBid to all registered parties.
