LOCATION OF WORK The Base Contract will generally include work along the following roadways (or portions): Catalpa Drive, Woodbine Road, Woodbine Lane, Red Oak Lane, Beech Lane, Hillcrest Drive, Juniper Road, Juniper Circle, Sweetwood Drive, Bachman Road and Apple Lane. Alternate Add/On No. 1 will generally include work along a portion of Orchard Road. Questions Due Date: Apr 1st 2025, 5:00 PM EDT 2025 Roadway Improvement Program. The Base Contract will generally include the full-width mill and overlay of eight Township roadways (19,943 SY/1,824 TON) including 2,900 SY pavement repair and 310 TON leveling/scratch course. The Base Contract will also include 3,028 SY of pavement repair and the replacement of 21,174 LF of white fog line along three Township roadways. Alternate/Add-On No. 1 will generally include the full-width mill and overlay of a portion of Orchard Road (3,755 SY/338 TON) including 550 SY of pavement repair, 60 TON leveling/scratch course, 180 LF of concrete curb replacement, 450 SF of concrete sidewalk replacement, 40 SF detectable warning surface (5 ramps) and 5 Type C perpendicular crosswalks. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified or bank check, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of online Pub. 408, made payable to Lower Macungie Township, in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price, including all Alternate/Add-On items. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in an amount equal to the Contract Price and meeting PennDOT Publication 408, Section 103.04 requirements. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as a "Prime Contractor" per PennDOT Pub. 408, Section 102. This project is subject to the terms and conditions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as determined by the Secretary of Labor and Industry, and is to be bid as such. The successful bidder is assessed a variable award fee from online. Lower Macungie Township reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all Bids.
