Remodeling and renovation of a civil project in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
**As of June 14, 2019, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for the award is not yet established.** For Hazleton City Authority Water Department Hazleton City Authority Water DepartmentProgram for the 2019 Tank and Pump Station Renovation Projects including the following: 1. HCA Park Place Water Storage Tank Renovation, Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County, PA. 2. HCA Existing Tank Exterior Coating General Maintenance, Various locations in the Greater Hazleton Area, 3. HCA Barnes Run Pump Station Upgrade, located near the Village of Humboldt, Hazle Township, Luzerne County, PA. 4. HCA Drifton Pump Station Upgrade, located near the Village of Drifton, Hazle Township, Luzerne County, PA. Online Bids or Proposals for projects listed above shall be received for the following contracts: 1. Contract P-29: All General Construction and related Site Work. 2. Contract P-30: All Tank Painting, Upgrades, Maintenance and Touchup 3. Contract P-31 All Fence demolition, removal and replacement 4. Contract P-32: All Mechanical Construction 5. Contract P-33: All Electrical Construction The project scope shall consist of all required work as indicated and required by all contract documents. Proposals must cover all labor, equipment, materials, layout, disposal and all other incidental costs required to complete all work. Sets of the Contract Documents, including applicable drawings and specifications pertaining to such bids are available at no cost only at www.PennBid.net. No paper copies of documents will be provided. A certified check or bid bond drawn to the order of the Hazleton City Authority - Water Department in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid must be submitted by 4:00 P.M. with each proposal as bid security and received at the Authoritys Office with all other required bid documents prior to the Bid Opening. Bidders shall comply with all procedures and requirements of the Contract Documents. The HCA encourage DBEs, including MBEs and WBEs, to submit a bid proposal. All Prime and sub-contractors shall make the required good faith efforts when subcontracting, Prior to the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish to the Owner Certificates of Insurance, Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, DBE/WBE Compliance Documents, and any other items as required by the Contract Documents, executed by a satisfactory surety. Bidders on all work will be required to comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry Federal Prevailing Minimum Davis Bacon Wage Determinations are included as part of the Contract Documents for this project and shall govern all work under this Contract. The Hazleton City Authority - Water Department is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the bid opening or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants. The Hazleton City Authority is a Pennsylvania Municipal Authority and subject to the Pennsylvania Right to Know Act. All prospective bidders shall execute a waiver of the Application of the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, 73 P.S. ^2260.101 et seq., and the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, 15 U.S.C.S. ^7001 et seq. The Hazleton City Authority - Water Department hereby reserves the right in its discretion, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any and all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any irregularities, omissions, mistakes, or informality in the Bidding Process. The Bid, if awarded, will be awarded at the sole discretion of the Authority at the lowest total cost to the responsive and responsible Bidder based on a final review of line items to be awarded as selected by the Owner. As requested by bidders, the following HCA Construction Cost Budgets are provided: a. Park Place Tank Site/GC = $34,250.00 b. Park Place Tank Fence = $48,500.00 c. Barnes Run PS Site/GC = $119,500.00 d. Barnes Run PS Mechanical = $249,000.00 e. Drifton PS Site/GC = $22,000.00 f.
