This project involves the following work on the Sanitary Sewer Collection System for the Borough of Topton: Cleaning and pre-repair video of approximately 11,000 LF of 10" and 8" sewer collection main; the removal of 2 protruding service connections; the lining of approximately 10,500 LF of 8" and 400 LF of 10" sewer main; the reinstatement of 225 laterals in the area to be lined, installation of 250 LF of 8" HDPE Sewer Main through pipe bursting; the excavation and repair of 3 lateral connections; the cutting of 4 areas where the ends of existing lining has become detached; the excavation and repair of 4 pipe joints that are separated; the excavation and replacement of 438 LF of 8" sewer main, including connecting to existing manholes and sewer lines; resurfacing of the areas disturbed by the excavated repairs. Bids must include a bid bond, with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of ten percent of the total bid amount, all as posted through PennBid. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing Wages shall apply. An abstract of the Bids will be available to Bidders on PennBid at the date and time that bids are due, as indicated above. It is anticipated that the notice to proceed will be issued for the video work to be started June 8, 2019. Questions may be submitted through PennBid's "Questions" tab on or before Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 12 P.M. Responses will be provided via PennBid to all registered plan holders. The Borough of Topton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions of, or to waive any informalities in bidding and to withhold award for a period of sixty days.
