Written Responses to Questions: Friday April 26th, 2019. The Town reserves the right to select the successful proposer on the basis of proposals received, without seeking further information for clarification from proposers. Upon review of proposals, the Town may designate the most qualified proposals as finalists for further review. These finalists may be invited to make oral presentations and participate in a question and answer session with the Town. The Town shall have the right to visit selected user sites, should this be deemed necessary. Unit price bid shall include furnishing a performance and payment bond for each project based on the contract price associated with each work order as security for the faithful performance and payment of all the contractor obligations under the contract documents. Bond cost is the contractor responsibility and should be included in the fixed unit price bid amounts. All bonds shall remain in effect at least until one year after the date when final payment becomes due, except where otherwise provided by Law or regulation or by the Contract Documents. All bonds signed by an agent must be accompanied by a certified copy of the authority to act. If the surety on any Bond furnished by contractor is declared a bankrupt or becomes insolvent or its right to do business is terminated in any state where any part of the Project is located or it ceases to meet the requirements of the preceding paragraph. Contractor shall within five days thereafter substitute another Bond and Surety, both of which must be acceptable to the Town.
