The bid opening is public and all proposals will be read aloud. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the total amount bid, excluding tax. Contractors must be prequalified prior to bidding on this prequalified electrical work for the categories of A-1 "Overhead Line Construction, Distribution, 12kV" and B-1 "Underground Line Construction, Distribution, 12kV." This contract provides the labor and materials to install approximately 28,120 linear cable feet of depreciated underground cable via directional bore/trench and will include installing a circuit feeder loop, along with the associated removal and/or (re)installation of attached equipment, conductors, services, etc. as specified in the Contract Documents. In addition, transformers, main switches, vaults and junction boxes will be replaced or modified to accommodate the cable replacement and/or improvement. The Contractor shall be responsible for the restoration of all surfaces disturbed in association with their work, including paving, concrete, and landscaping, per District standards and/or the associated jurisdiction's asphalt and concrete restoration requirements. The work to be performed is in the vicinity of and on Puget Park Dr. and 134th Pl. SE, in the city of Everett, in Snohomish County, Washington.
