Construction of the Governor Leroy Collins Park based on the FCT and Broward County Grant Commitments as directed at the FY2022 Vision and Goalsetting Meeting. The amenities will include an education center (modular), picnic pavilion, observation platform, teaching farm land, barn and grazing pasture, lake, turnout area, parking, recreational and equestrian trails and educational signage. An architect has been selected. As of January 19, 2022, this project is in final planning and included in the city's 2022-2031 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). General contractor bidding is not expected to commence before late first quarter 2022. Construction is not expected to begin before mid to late second quarter 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Town is seeking responses from qualified respondents to provide design services for the construction of Governor Leroy Collins Park located at the northwest corner of Shotgun Road (SW 154th Avenue) and SW 36 Court, Davie, FL 33331. Questions regarding this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) shall be submitted in writing to bids@davie-fl.gov no later than Friday, May 3rd, 2019. Responses to those questions considered material to the solicitation will be made available as formal addenda to the Town's Purchasing portal. It is the responsibility of prospective respondents to ensure they are aware of all addenda issued relative to this solicitation. All packages shall be clearly marked "RFQ No. CS-19-64 Design Services for Governor Leroy Collins Park". The Town will not be responsible in the event the U.S. Postal Service or any other courier system fails to deliver any package by the above referenced deadline. Late submissions shall not be accepted. The selection of the successful respondent(s) shall be at the Town's discretion and shall be made in a prompt manner after the receipt and evaluation of all RFQ responses. The Town of Davie reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any and all irregularities in any submission, and to make awards in the best interest of the Town. Pursuant to Florida Statutes 119.071, sealed Responses, proposals or replies by an agency pursuant to a competitive solicitation are exempt from inspection until such time as the agency provides notice of an intended decision or until thirty (30) days after the opening of the Responses, proposals, or final replies, whichever is earlier.
