Materials testing shall include testing of concrete, masonry, aggregates, asphalt, soils, epoxies, metals, steel reinforcement, welding (nondestructive shop and field), and other various general laboratory material tests per American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards and/or other applicable standards. The selected firm(s) will be required to provide specialized construction inspection services performed by International Code Council (ICC) approved Registered Deputy Inspectors for concrete, pre-stressed concrete, reinforcing steel, structural steel, fireproofing, welding and masonry. Other types of inspection in general areas of construction such as asphalt paving, underground utilities, dredging, electrical and buildings may also be required. The selected firm(s) may also be requested to provide environmental testing and/or monitoring such as perimeter air sample testing and monitoring of abatement for asbestos or lead containing materials.
