The Long Beach Utilities Department (LBUD) intends to engage the services of a professional engineering consulting firm (Consultant) to perform engineering design services for the Water Main Bridge Crossings Repair Site #2 (Anaheim St. & Los Angeles River), Site #3 (Long Beach Blvd. & Los Angeles River), Site #28 (Appian Way & Alamitos Bay), and Site #34 (Pacific Coast Highway & Los Cerritos Channel) (Project). The purpose of this Project is to repair and rehabilitate coatings and corrosion of water mains at various bridge crossings across the City. The Consultant will specify repair work design including, but not limited to, lead paint analysis, scaffolding, sand or hydro-blasting the pipe surface, debris control, surface painting, concrete removal, replacement of the small valves and components, and provide the additional means such as man lifts to inspect bridge crossings that are not easily accessible. Please include the names of all personnel that will be attending the online meeting. The LBUD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The LBUD will select the Consultant, which appears most likely to provide the services under the conditions that would be in the best interest of the LBUD. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
