SRE Building -- existing project - The airport has never had a dedicated Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) Building and a request has been in the County CIP and FAA/MAA ACIP since 2013. SRE equipment is currently housed in unheated old hangars, including one without door, and are subjected to weather and bird nesting and droppings. Last year the scope of the building was reduced in order to make it more affordable. In addition, the Maintenance Facility has to be replaced. The conditions are unfavorable for the staff to continue to work. FAA CARES Act grant funds should be available for this project. As of December 17, 2021, this project is currently in the FY 2022-2026 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2022. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2022. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
