Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Tahsis, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Work under this Contract is comprised of the construction of the Nootka Sound Search and Rescue station. The station is wood frame construction built on a concrete foundation. The contractor will be responsible for erecting the wood frame structure as well as supplying and installing all windows, doors, roofing, exterior rainscreen and cladding. Interior construction along with electrical and mechanical components are to be supplied and installed by the contractor. Interior finishes include but are not limited to flooring, interior wall framing, finishes and painting, millwork and fixtures. Radio tower footing to be provided by contractor. Metal tower to be provided and installed by owner. Contractor to provide concrete footing for site sign and install sign provided by owner. The contractor will supply and install site fencing, new sani station, relocate portable washrooms and secure steel garbage containers. The contractor will supply and install paved pathways, site parking and driving surfaces. The contractor will spread and compact aggregates provided by the municipality to construct a gravel parking lot. To assist with insurance and bonding requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $1,000,000.01 and $5,000,000.00. Documents can be obtained from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.
