This project will include, but not be limited to: removing and replacing approx. 2,460 square yards of asphalt road pavement without curb, in a residential area, along with necessary maintenance of traffic. The Melbourne Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formalities or irregularities, or to re-advertise for bids. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the Total Amount Bid must be submitted with the bid. A Public Construction Bond in a sum equal to 100% of the amount of the Contract awarded, will be required prior to execution of contract. The form of the Public Construction Bond is included in the bid package. This project is not federally funded. Federal contract conditions such as Davis-Bacon do not apply. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, for a period of sixty (60) calendar days. To be eligible for award of contract, the successful bidder must submit, upon request and within five (5) business days after the bid opening, evidence of financial responsibility, experience, qualifications, and satisfactory completion of previous similar projects, to the satisfaction of the Melbourne Airport Authority. The Bidder agrees to comply with the following requirement: "No member, officer, or employee of the Melbourne Airport Authority or the City of Melbourne, during his or her tenure or for one year thereafter shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in this contract or the proceeds thereof. During Bidding, only written questions received by 2:00 PM on July 2, 2019 will be accepted. Written responses will be distributed to all Bidders via Addenda. Bids (proposals) shall be submitted as set forth in the instructions included in the bid documents.
