Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Work of this Contract generally consists of, but is not limited to, the construction of a 2.1 million gallon capacity precast, pre-stressed, wire wound, concrete water storage tank in Westfield, Massachusetts with associated piping and appurtenances, a Tideflex tank mixing system with associated recirculation pump, and site work. Piping shall consist of approximately 950 linear feet of new 16-inch diameter ductile iron water main. Other work includes access road improvements, stormwater improvements and the decommissioning and demolition of the existing 2.7 million gallon capacity, 55-foot tall, concrete storage tank located at the site. The work of Additive Alternate A generally consists of the removal and proper disposal of approximately 850 linear feet of existing 16-inch diameter asbestos cement water main. This Contract contains price adjustments for Portland cement concrete mixes, diesel fuel, and gasoline. For this project the base prices are as follows: Portland cement $122.38 per ton, liquid asphalt $547.50 per ton, diesel fuel $2.348 per gallon, and gasoline $2.254 per gallon. MassDOT posts the Price Adjustments on their Highway Division's website. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project.
