As of September 8, 2025, a general contractor has been awarded. Construction started in May 2024 and is expected to be completed in September 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Westfield is soliciting qualifications for professional Designer Services relating to the replacement of the Westfield Wastewater Treatment Plant Admin Building in Westfield, MA per M.G.L. c7 44-57. The initial contract will be for design services through bidding. The City of Westfield will negotiate the fee for this phase. Applicants should demonstrate a record of successful experience with projects of this magnitude, and more importantly with the design of similar facilities in Massachusetts in the recent past. The City of Westfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids wholly or in part; to waive technicalities and informalities; to amend and/or cancel bid prior to the time of opening; to make awards in a manner deemed best to the City; to correct any award erroneously made as a result of a clerical error on the part of the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
