Renovation of a water / sewer project in Charlotte, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The project includes making certain repairs; blasting and recoating interior of tank. The 55,000 gallon "Tin Man/ Witch Hat Style" elevated steel storage tank is located in downtown Charlotte and therefore the contractor shall provide shrouding and will observe all T.C.E.Q. (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations pertaining to air quality and other construction methods. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety. A certified check or bank draft made payable to the Owner may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid and to reject any or all bids. Bids may be held by the City of Charlotte for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
