Renovation of a mixed-use development in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The University is entering into a Two-Step Bidding Process for Construction services. A short-listing of contractors will be based on the selection criteria outlined herein. Short-listed contractors will be invited to submit bids on the project described above. The only contractors allowed to bid on Step-2 of this project will be contractors short-listed by the selection committee. All contractors responding to this procurement process must comply with, and require all of their subcontractors to comply with, the license laws required by the State of Utah. The short-listing requirements and the schedule were prepared by The University of Utah U Facilities and CRSA Architects, hereinafter referred to as "A/E" as defined in the GENERAL CONDITIONS. The University's standard RFP has been substantially modified. Please read this RFP very closely. We are not accepting hard copy proposals. All proposals must be submitted electronically at the website listed above. THE UNIVERSITY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIFFICULTIES, TECHNICAL OR OTHERWISE, ASSOCIATED WITH THE ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION PROCESS. Bid Bond Requirements (Required for Step-2 only) Construction Constraints: This is an occupied building and is a highly structured physical and administrative environment. This must be recognized in all construction-scheduled activities. GC must demonstrate how this will be managed in the GC activity schedule. Construction tie in activity to be reviewed in complete construction schedule workflow and the 3 week look ahead schedule for weekly reoccurring OAC, Owner, Architect and Contractor meeting. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all submittals or to waive any formality or technicality in any submittal in the interest of the University.
