Site work and remodeling of a mixed-use development in Racine, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the remodel of a educational facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of January 6, 2023, a construction manager has been selected and this project is in the planning phase. Information regarding an architect has not been released. Construction is expected to begin in June of 2025 and complete in August of 2026. Bond fund $598 million of work over 30 years GOODLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL The referendum would provide the funding needed to make the following improvements at Goodland: SAFETY & SECURITY: • Create secure entrance and renovate administrative area • Create parent drop-off loop • Update for ADA-compliant access • Replace fire alarm and clock systems • Install security cameras and emergency backup generator LEARNING SPACES: • Create new STEM Lab • Renovate student support areas in East Wing • Create dedicated Sensory Room in West Wing • Replace coat hooks with cubbies NEW ADDITIONS: • Relocate and expand kitchen and serving stations, construct new receiving area • Add Greenhouse INFRASTRUCTURE: • Refresh building interiors (LED lighting, flooring, ceilings, casework, paint walls) • Address building maintenance (doors, HVAC updates, exterior masonry, roofing, concrete/asphalt, site drainage and retrocommissioning) The 2020 bond referendum was passed and approved by the voters on April 7, 2020.
