Remodeling of an educational facility in Racine, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the remodel of a 145,890-square-foot educational facility.
As of January 6, 2023, a construction manager has been selected and this project is in the pre-construction/negotiated phase. Information regarding an architect has not been released. Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2023 and complete in the third quarter of 2024. Bond fund $598 million of work over 30 years WEST RIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Relocate Students to Starbuck IB, K-8 Campus The referendum would provide the funding needed to make these minimal improvements at West Ridge to maintain the building and use for additional early learning spaces: SAFETY & SECURITY • Install security cameras and emergency backup generator INFRASTRUCTURE: • Refresh building interiors (LED lighting) • Address building maintenance (HVAC updates and exterior asphalt/concrete) NOTE: Jefferson Lighthouse and West Ridge will merge with Starbuck when it becomes a K-8 IB school in fall 2025. The 2020 bond referendum was passed and approved by the voters on April 7, 2020.
