As of April 14, 2025, an architect and a construction manager has been selected and this project is in the planning phase. Construction is expected to begin in May of 2025 and complete in August of 2026. Bond fund $598 million of work over 30 years The referendum would provide the funding needed to make the following improvements at Case: SAFETY & SECURITY: • Replace fire alarm • Add stairway and guard railings • Update for ADA-compliant access • Install emergency generators ACADEMY LEARNING SPACES: • Renovate and expand existing Science and Tech Ed areas • Replace pool area with new Construction and Woods lab/lecture, as well as expanded fitness areas • Open Library to Learning Commons • Repurpose existing auditorium for Family and Consumer Education, Culinary Arts and Business spaces NEW ADDITIONS: • Construct 1000 seat Performing Arts Center • Add restrooms/concessions for south fields • Expand track at Hammes Field to eight lanes and add a multi-sport, synthetic turf INFRASTRUCTURE: • Refresh building interiors (LED lighting, casework, flooring, ceilings, paint walls) • Address building maintenance (doors, exterior masonry, roofing) The 2020 bond referendum was passed and approved by the voters on April 7, 2020.
