**As of April 15, 2020, this project has been awarded to Dryco Construction in the amount of $745,660.60. Work consists of various improvements in Contempo Park located between Meteor Drive to the north and Springwood Drive to the south, in the City of Union City, California. The work includes the rehabilitation of an existing 8,000 square foot picnic area by removing and replacing existing asphalt and trees with miscellaneous other improvements including irrigation system, tree grates, seat walls, park furniture, curb ramps, pathway reconstruction and a parking lot slurry seal. The successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond, Performance Bond and Maintenance Bond, acceptable to the City of Union City, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Minimum federal wage rates apply for this project, as predetermined by the Secretary of Labor, and as set forth in the bid documents and incorporated as part of the special provisions. These wage rates may be examined at the City of Union City where the project plans, special provisions, bid and contract documents may be seen. If there is a difference between the minimum federal wage rates predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and the prevailing wage rates determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California for similar classifications of labor, the Contractor and their subcontractors shall pay not less than the higher wage rate. This project is being financed with Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (24 CFR Part 570) and is subject to certain requirements including: compliance with Section 3 (24 CFR Part 135) Economic Opportunities requirements; payment of Federal Davis-Bacon prevailing wages; Federal Labor Standards Provisions (HUD 4010); Executive Order #11246; and others.
