Douglas County Department of Public Works that sealed bids for the purchase of a total of 15,800 (+/-) tons of Highway De-Icing Salt to be used for the 2020-2021 winter season The contractor shall purchase and maintain such insurance as will protect the contractor and each governmental entity against any and all claims and demands arising from the execution of this contract. When stated in the Detail Specifications, the Contractor shall be required to procure and maintain the types and limits of insurance as specified. The awarded bidder shall agree to offer the prices and the terms and conditions herein to other government agencies who wish to participate in a cooperative purchase program with Douglas County. Other agencies will be responsible for entering into separate agreements with the Dealer and for all payments thereunder. Each governmental entity reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and to purchase the product which in the opinion of each Board is best suited for the work which it is intended. Award will be contingent upon each entity approval process.
