Site work and paving for a road / highway in Akron, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
For Pavement Restoration Program 2020 This contract involves backfilling and installing temporary and permanent concrete pavement over excavations in the City water and sewer utility service areas. The project includes the 4,300 S.Y. of pavement removal and 4,500 S.Y. of concrete cap installation. Persons with disabilities needing assistance should contact the office of the ADA Coordinator at 166 South High St., Room 200, Akron, Ohio, 44308, (330) 375-2189 or (330) 375-2345 (TDD), as soon as possible or at least 7 days in advance of a scheduled event. Except as provided in Section 102.07 of The City of Akron, Construction and Materials Specifications, 2008 Edition, each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of 5% of bids on a solvent bank, or a bid bond in like amount, acceptable to the City of Akron, as a guarantee, that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into. Bids may be held by the City of Akron for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Except as provided in Section 103.05 of The City of Akron, Construction and Materials Specifications, 2008 Edition, the bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a bond in the sum of 100% of contract price for the faithful performance of the contract. The Director of Public Service reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities. Bidders must use the prepared forms provided therefore which include compliance with Section 34.03 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Akron, Ohio regarding public contracts.
