Plans Are in Accordance With the City of Akron, Construction and Material Specifications, 2008 Edition and With the City's Standard Construction Drawings, Unless Otherwise Noted in the Plans or the Bid Book. Disadvantaged Business (Dbe) Participation Goals (Subcontracts, Materials, Supplies) Have Been Set on This Project for Those Certified as Dbe's in Accordance With a Federal Agency Such as the Small Business Administration or the Department of Transportation or by an Approved State of Ohio Agency. The Unified Certification Program (Ucp) Administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation (Odot) Can Provide Necessary Dbe Certifications. This Procurement is Subject to the Environmental Protection Agency (Epa) Policy of Encouraging the Participation of Small Businesses in Rural Areas (Sbras). For the Purpose of This Project, the Minority Business Enterprise (Mbe) Utilization Goals Shall Be Defined as Contractors and/or Subcontractors With Mbe's for the Minimum Amount of 1.3% of the Contract Price; and the Women's Business Enterprise (Wbe) Utilization Goals Shall Be Defined as Contractors and/or Subcontractors With Wbe's for the Minimum Amount of 1.0% of the Contract Price.
