City of Akron Local Goal: 18% EDGE/DBE/MBE/WBE/SBE/VBE (minimum 3% WBE) The Wooster road pump station was built in 1918. This pump station serves the West High Service District, one of the largest in the system with a daily demand over 3 MGD. Wooster road pump station is necessary to provide High Service District capacity and redundancy. This project seeks to repair the structural facility, increase efficiency, and improve the existing pump station overall.
