Site work and paving for a road / highway in Laramie, Wyoming. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Harney Street Reconstruction - 9th to 15th. This street has very high traffic, and the existing base and asphalt section is less than what the pavement study recommends. There are asphalt failures in many spots with a 39 PCI value. ADA upgrades may be difficult. The project will complete a full depth reconstruction with 6" asphalt and a 10" base with geo grid and fabric (soil zone 2 pavement study). Project will include spot repairs to curb gutter and sidewalk and ADA upgrades. As of April 23, 2024, project is included in the City of Laramie FY 2023-2026 CIP. A corridor study has been completed. No further timeline for construction to begin is available at this time. A design firm has not been selected yet. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
