The work generally consists of cold plane ACP removal and ACP inlay in travel lanes and shoulders on Washburn Way including cold plane removal and replacement of the waterproofing membrane and wearing surface on the BNSF railroad bridge. The work is located on Washburn Way between Laverne and South Side Expressway in Klamath County. The engineers estimate for this project is $1,300,000 to $1,400,000. A surety bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Oregon, irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Klamath County Commissioners in the amount of 10% of the total bid must accompany the sealed bid. At least ten (10) days prior to bid opening, all bidders must submit to Klamath County a Contractor's Prequalification Application, even if the contractor is already prequalified with the State of Oregon. The classes of work for this project are: (A) Asphalt Concrete Paving and Oiling; (B) Temporary Traffic Control; (C) Miscellaneous Highway Appurtenances; (D) REIN. (Most recent edition of Contractor's Prequalification Application form must be used). General Contractor is not required to be prequalified for Temporary Traffic Control if the subcontractor performing that portion of the Work is prequalified as such with Klamath County Public Works. All contractors and subcontractors performing work on this project must be licensed with the Construction Contractors Board in accordance with ORS Chapter 701. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of the bid will be required of the successful bidder. Klamath County will reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may for good cause, reject any or all bids upon a finding of Klamath County it is in the public interest to do so. Klamath County reserves the right to waive informalities.
