Per the owner, as of January 25, 2024, this project is moving forward, but they are waiting on some items to complete before they can advertise. Information regarding an award for this solicitation is not available. The City of Daly City is requesting proposals for the RO 572 Streetlight Conversion Project. Proposals shall be submitted by firms that have a demonstrable background in the type of work described in "REQUESTED SCOPE OF SERVICES" section of this notice. In addition, all interested firms shall have sufficient, readily available resources in the form of trained personnel, support services, specialized consultants and financial resources to carry out the work without delay or shortcomings. Additionally, firms that have not been pre-qualified by the City through the City's 2018 On-Call General Engineering Services RFQ selection process and are not on the City's on-call list to provide design services shall, under separate cover, submit additional qualifications per Section G. The City of Daly City owns and operates street lights that are powered by high voltage regulated outputs (RO) series circuits. RO circuit technology for powering streetlights is outdated, unreliable and expensive to operate. This project includes designing new circuitry and replacing the high voltage lights with standard 120/240 volt multiple service parallel circuit. Conversion of the series circuits streetlights to parallel circuits will reduce maintenance cost, power consumption, minimize large area streetlight outages and increase lighting reliability. This project will update the streetlight system for RO 572, which consists of 38 streetlights surrounding the Westlake Shopping Center. Exhibit A shows the streetlights included in RO 572. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
