The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and services required for the complete construction of the Mussel Rock Landfill - Upper Disposal Area Pull-Back Project. The work includes site clearing, excavating a portion of the upper disposal area, transporting the excavated material to the lower disposal area and capping both areas with a soil cover material. Work will also include associated earthwork and grading at the lower disposal and the upper disposal areas, traffic control throughout the project and associated stormwater pollution control during and after construction. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified or cashiers check payable to City of Daly City, in an amount not less than 10% of the aggregate bid. A valid Class A license or other combination of any Class C licenses that constitutes a majority of the contract work must be in the possession of the successful bidder at the time the bid is submitted to the City in order to be considered a responsive bid. The time limit for the completion of work is Ninety (90) working days. The first day of this time period will be no later than the 28th day after the contract award. In accordance with the California Labor Code, general prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages shall be paid on this project. Copies of applicable prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages are available on request to the City Engineer. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in such bids and, if awarded, to award the contract in the best interest of the City.
