The project consists of the followingDemo and removal of approximately 19,750 square feet of broadloom carpet, 2,086 square feet of vinyl flooring, installed on an asbestos free concrete substrate, and 3,500 lineal feet of rubber cove base. Furnish and install approximately 19,750 square feet of new carpet tiles, approximately 2,086 square feet of new luxury vinyl or rubber flooring tiles, and approximately 3,500 lineal feet of new rubber matte black cove base. Contractor will be responsible for disposing of all waste materials off site. Owner will take care of all moving and replacement of furniture. This contract is subject to the provision of State of Alaska, Title 36, Minimum Wage Rates. The subsequent contract will require certificates of insurance and may require performance and payment bonds If the bid exceeds $100,000 the following apply: Certified check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond, made payable to the Kenai Peninsula Borough amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid, shall accompany each bid as evidence of good faith, a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the Bidder will execute the contract and give bond as required m. The successful Bidder shall furnish the Owner a Performance and Payment bond in the full amount of the Agreement and shall maintain the Bond in force during the continuance of the Agreement.
