Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Carnation, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project consists of the replacement of a 6-bent timber trestle with a single span 84' concrete voided slab girder bridge. The scope of work includes timber deconstruction, widening of roadway, earthwork (building of structural earth walls), concrete abutment placement, installation of precast voided slab girders and the installation of a chain link fence/rail system. Subcontracting Opportunities: traffic control, asphalt/road retrofit work, structural concrete work (bridge and foundation), bridge rail/fence installation, structural earth wall-geotextile, new bridge superstructure. Apprenticeship Requirements: 10% minimum Apprentice Utilization Requirement. SCS Utilization Requirements. 5% minimum requirement for King County Certified Small Contractors and Suppliers (SCS). Bid Guaranty: Not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Price Request for Information: Submit all inquiries in writing via email to the Contract Specialist and the Alternate Contract Specialist. No verbal answers by any County personnel or its agents and consultants will be binding on the County. Bids received after Sealed Bid Time will not be considered. Bidders accept all risks of late delivery, regardless of fault. King County is not responsible for any costs incurred in response to this Invitation to Bid.
