The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary for construction of approximately 1,150 LF of 16-inch DIP water main, 1,500 LF of 12-inch DIP water main, 570 LF 24-inch steel casing (open cut and bored), 60 LF 20-inch steel casing (open cut), 2 fire hydrant assemblies, all with related valves, connections, fittings, anchors, appurtenances, traffic control, clearing, erosion control, grassing, landscaping, restoration, pavement replacement, clean-up, hydrostatic testing, flushing, and disinfection. The Project will be funded by Local Funds. Payment for the Work will be made on the basis of Contractor's periodic Applicationsfor-Payment processed by the Engineer. In accordance with O.C.G.A. 43-41-1, bidders must submit a photocopy of their Georgia Contractor License. Contractors must comply with all provision of the "Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act" (O.C.G.A. 13-10-91 and O.C.G.A. 50-36-1) and all applicable state and federal laws regarding maintaining a drug-free workplace. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, or other security authorized by law, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid. All bonds must be signed or countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The right is reserved by the Owner to delay the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of the bids, during which time the bids shall remain open and not subject to withdrawal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all technicalities or informalities.
