Renovation of a water / sewer project in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The work consists of power washing and recoating the exterior, including ladders, railings, and all appurtenances, of four steel water storage tanks including the two 3-million gallon High Service Tanks and two 2-million gallon Low Service Tanks. Localized spot repairs will be performed on areas of rust or compromised coating as necessary. The 2-million gallon West Heights Tank will be bid as an alternate. Work at the West Heights Tank consists of removing the existing exterior coating system, applying a new exterior coating system, including prime, intermediate, and finish coat, repair and recoat tank appurtenances as necessary. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.
