Renovation of a water / sewer project in Norman, Oklahoma. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
In 2009, during the Sludge Management Improvements the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) installed centrifuges designed to dewater biosolids. These centrifuges are old and have experienced equipment failures requiring expensive repairs . This capital project will replace two existing dewatering centrifuges and related equipment with an updated system. These centrifuges are critical to the NWRF's operation which requires bio-soilds removal on a daily basis. This project is included in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of November 21, 2023 a design engineer has been selected. No firm timeline has been established for bidding and construction. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
