The County anticipates to execute a Construction Contract for the duration of the Project. Refer to the Solicitation Documents and Attachments section for minimum qualifications, scope/specifications, and insurance requirements SCOPE OF WORK A. DESCRIPTION 1. The contractor performing the utility work covered by this Contract shall be qualified by the County to perform utility work. The Work to be completed consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment, and the performance of all Work included in this Contract. The Contractor shall perform all operations and incidentals necessary to complete the work in a turnkey condition. 2. Contractor shall utilize the County’s project management information system, e-Builder, for all project submittals including Requests for Information (RFI), Pay Applications, Interim Field Change Agreements (IFCAs), and meeting minutes, etc. as stated in Section 01300 - Submittals Scope of work summary includes: ? Pump Station # 3: ? Improvements to Pump Station # 3 to allow for tanks to be filled simultaneous with operation of the pumps, improve control of filling water storage tanks, and provide improved local process control. ? Adding a third pump with a design flow rate of 5,500-gpm (7.9 MGD) at 155 feet of TDH. These proposed improvements will increase the pump station's firm capacity to 15.8 MGD (23.7 MGD in total). ? Installation of approximately 350-LF of 30-inch DIP; 600-LF of 24-inch DIP; 10-LF of 16-inch DIP, and 10-LF of 14 -inch DIP water main as part of on-site piping improvements at Pump Station # 3. ? Transmission main: ? 1,800-LF of 30-inch DI water main to be installed by open cut method. ? 8,900-LF of 36-inch HDPE water main installed by Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) method. Of this proposed 8,900-LF of HDD install, a total of approximately 1,500-LF will be sub-aqueous and cross beneath Red Bug Slough.
