The principle work to be performed under this contract in both Phase I and Phase II consists of, but not limited to improvement of the following: 3,075 LF of 16" PVC Water Main 40 LF of 30" Bored Casing 44 LF of 16" PVC Waterline in Casing 4 EA Fire Hydrant Assemblies 2 EA 2" Air Release Valve Assemblies 1 EA 12" Wet Tap Tee/Valve Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on the unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: B & B Consultants, Inc., 212 East Ferrell Street, South Hill, VA 23970. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:15 am -5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Authority nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions for Bidders. A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Evidence of proper registration with the Virginia State Registration Board of Contractors, pursuant to Chapter 7 of Title 54 of the Code of Virginia, must be submitted with each bid.
