The Work will include re-grading and paving of driveway, sidewalk and curb installation, and installation of fencing and storm sewer collection system. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security made payable to Borough of North Catasauqua in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 5.1 of the General Conditions. This project is subject to minimum wage rates in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Public Works Employee Verification Act. The Borough of North Catasauqua reserves the right to waive any informality in, and/or to reject, any or all bids. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 11/30/2020 5:00 PM The Work involves grading of existing driveway, sidewalk and curb installation, paving of roadway, and installation of storm sewer collection system as shown on the Contract Drawings. Most work is to be performed within the Borough owned driveway/street area. Work will include but not limited to, the following: o Mobilization o Sanitary facilities o COVID-19 safety requirements as required by Local, State and Federal agencies o Placement and maintaining erosion and sedimentation control measures as per Contract Drawings o Perform soft digs to determine exact location of existing utilities which may be in conflict with the proposed improvements o Saw cut, full depth, all paved areas o Excavation, compaction and backfill for installation of piping and structures o Maintenance and protection of traffic per Borough requirements. Roadways may be closed a block at a time and detoured while still permitting access to impacted driveways o Surface restoration o Clean up and demobilization
