This Request for Quotations (the "RFQ") is an invitation by the Limestone District School Board (the "Board") to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for Building Envelope Remediation and Roof Replacement & Outdoor Yard Improvements at Lord Strathcona Public School, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables"). The project includes for the full rehabilitation of the east façade of the building including, but not limited to, asphalt and concrete pavement removal, excavation of existing foundations and removal of existing EIFS cladding, windows and doors in preparation for the new work. The new work includes for the installation of new concrete foundations, brick masonry and metal panel cladding, new extruded aluminum curtain wall windows and doors, new barrier free access ramps at two building entrances and new asphalt concrete paving. In addition to the building envelope rehabilitation, the project also includes for the replacement of approximately 1200 square meetings of existing BUR roofing with new modified bituminous roof system and the installation of new metal siding on the raised walls of the existing gymnasium. In addition, the project includes installation of two play areas (sand play and outdoor classroom) including, but not limited to, removal of existing turf, cutting and removal of asphalt as required, excavation and base preparation for the new play areas. The new play areas include supply and installation of seating logs, seating stumps, log edging, transfer station, compacted mulch surfacing and sand.
