Queen's Facilities has maintenance responsibility of approximately 30 Emergency Generators located on/off campus, In-house staff currently provide the daily, weekly, and monthly testing requirements laid out in CSA Standard C282 (particular version as called out in latest version of the Ontario Fire Code). These Emergency Generators range from 55 kW to 1750 kW and are critical to the support of education and research provided by the University. Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) testing and inspections and fuel systems inspections (other than what is required in CSA C282) are not included in this scope of work and will be handled separately. Fuel system repairs/upgrades are included in this scope of work however. The successful proponent will (but is not limited to) furnish all labour, labour supervision, materials, necessary tools, equipment and lubricants to provide a full-service maintenance program and perform repairs on an as needed basis.
