As of April 22, 2021, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to November 2021. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Department intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional services to provide Naval Architect/Marine Engineering to prepare a Design Study Report, complete PS&E package, provide assistance during bidding, and provide assistance during construction on the M/V Tustumena. Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is from January 15, 2021 to December 31, 2023. Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $500,000 to $1,000,000. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
