Site work and paving for a road / highway in Western, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
For Solomon Road Improvements The approximate quantities of work to be bid upon are described as follows: Approximately 6,100 linear feet of surface and drainage improvements to the existing Solomon Road including ditch cleaning and profiling, storm structure cleaning and replacement, roadway surface grading, and base failure repairs in accordance with the 2017 West Virginia Department of Transportation Division of Highways Standard Specifications Roads and Bridges and the 2020 Supplemental Specifications. The Work will be substantially completed within ninety (90) calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, completed and ready for final payment within one hundred eighty (180) days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per day. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Westover, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. The City of Westover reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
