Site work and paving for a road / highway in Forest Grove, Oregon. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Safety improvements are needed on Martin Road due to an increase in freight and commercial traffic. The road provides a connection between U.S. 26 and the city of Forest Grove. Plan is to install a roundabout at Highway 47 and Martin Road. Widened shoulders on Martin Road will extend south to the roundabout and to replace two culverts on Martin Road at Council Creek at the same time. Project is included Washington County FY 2022-2023 Budget CIP. As of May 1, 2023, construction is expected to begin in June 2023 and be completed by winter 2023-2024. The contractor selection is underway and being evaluated. There will be an open house to meet the contractor in May 2023. An engineer has been selected. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
