**The project was awarded to Eurovia Atlantic Coast LLC for $6,762,920.69.** This project provides for the microsurfacing overlay of the Turnpike mainline between Milepost 67.59 and Milepost 75.58. Work will be accomplished by placing a polymer-modified emulsified asphalt overlay, and application of durable pavement markings, and maintenance and protection of Turnpike traffic Work items include, but are not limited to: 331,638 SY Polymer-Modified Emulsified Paving System 2,976 Each Removal of Snowplowable Raised Pavement Markers 419,124 LF 4" Standard Pavement Markings, Paint & Beads 227,692 LF 6" Permanent Preformed Patterned Reflective Pavement Markings 1209.13 SF Sign Removal and Installation, Various Types Milepost 67.59 is located approximately 0.59 miles east of the Irwin Interchange, Exit 67, and Milepost 75.58 is located approximately 0.58 miles east of the New Stanton Interchange, Exit 75, in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
