Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,869-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The Phase 1 re-development of the City's Norland Materials Handling Works Yard located at 6229, 6289, 6335 and 6389 Darnley Street. The proposed works are adjacent to Black Bear Creek and involve, but may not be limited to, the supply and installation of a new Truck Scale and Scale House (modular), access driveway improvements and widening, Steel Pile Deep Foundation, installation of servicing utilities, including storm and sanitary sewer mains, a 19mm water service connection for the new Scale House, new electrical, telecommunications and driveway lighting systems, reinforced concrete works for new Truck Scale decking and support Foundation for the new Truck Scale and Scale House. The existing Scale House and Truck scale are to remain operational until commissioning of the new Scale House and Truck Scale is complete and operational, after which the existing facilities will be removed and disposed offsite. Protected environmental setback area disturbed during construction is to be restored and offset area provided as per the environmental engineering consultant's recommendations.
