The Project generally includes: Providing and installing 21 Cutting-in-Valves into the water distribution system. Bids shall be on a unit cost basis. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidders should note the requirements for OSHA training of workmen and the requirements prohibiting the employment of unauthorized aliens prohibited including the submission of an Affidavit of Work Authorization with their bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. This contract is subject to the American Iron and Steel contract requirements. No pre-bid conference will be held. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Work will be substantially completed within 90 consecutive calendar days for Contract 1 after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 60 calendar days after the date for substantial completion for both Contracts.
